  • How do I know what type of pool would be suitable in my backyard?

A Pool Pros consultant can help you design the perfect pool for your needs. With the knowledge and creativity of our swimming pool contractors, we'll put together a complete package that will fulfill your backyard dreams. According to Pool Research, the average pool is between three and one-half to nine feet deep, but we can work with you to create a pool that has the dimensions you want. There are many different sizes, shapes, and depths and we will work with you to create the backyard that you want.

  • How long does it take to build a pool?

It's difficult to predict an exact time frame for pool construction due to many variables such as weather, local building inspections, and project complexity. In the experience of our swimming pool contractors, most shotcrete pool projects are completed within six to eight weeks once local permitting is approved. We've found that vinyl liner pool projects are completed within four to six after approval. Contact Pool Pros today if you want your pool to be installed by professional pool contractors!

  • How much time will I spend maintaining my swimming pool?

With today’s innovative technology and equipment, owning a pool is easy! We've found that most owners choose some sort of automation to operate their pool, which can be set on a consistent cleaning schedule. You can estimate spending about 15 to 30 minutes per week on minimal pool maintenance, according to our team. Reach out to our swimming pool contractors with any additional questions you have.

  • Will a pool increase the value of my home?

Adding a swimming pool can increase home value far beyond finances alone. Think of endless summer days spent in the backyard with friends and family! Whether it's a pool party with a few friends or a little alone time, your swimming pool can provide that relaxing escape you've always wanted. Our swimming pool contractors have found that swimming has been determined to be one of the best forms of exercise and stress relief to promote a healthy body and mind. In terms of monetary value, The National Association of Realtors states that an inground pool can increase a home’s value from 8% to 15%. Of course, current market and property values will affect this value. Reach out to Pool Pros today for more information.

  • What is the difference between saltwater and chlorine pools?

Chlorine has been around for decades and is still used today on a large scale in both private and public swimming pools. According to our swimming pool contractors, saltwater systems for swimming pools began to gain attention about 20 years ago as an alternative to the harshness of conventional pool chlorine. Using an electronic component, the pool equipment will turn ordinary table salt into scentless chlorine right in your pool! The advantages to saltwater pools are more soothing and soft water, the absence of chlorine smell, and increased comfort for your eyes. Swim longer and enjoy a more natural feel of water in your pool when you use this alternative to chlorine. Call Pool Pros today to talk with professional pool contractors and learn about treating your pool with saltwater.

  • What's the best time of year to build a new pool?

You can install a new swimming pool any time you’re ready! Pool Pros installs swimming pools all year round, even in the winter. The right time to build depends on your needs and timeline. It may be a good time to build in the winter when the weather's not suitable for swimming, but the pool will then be ready the very next summer season. With the time of installation around six to 10 weeks, our swimming pool contractors have found that you can install a new pool in the middle of summer and have plenty of time to enjoy it the rest of the year!

  • Is there enough space on my property to use excavation equipment?

In most cases, we've found that our normal-size equipment will fit into 80% of backyards where we install pools. In certain communities, space can be limited, though. In those scenarios, we have smaller equipment to overcome these challenges. Any access less than five feet may require a different approach, but please call our swimming pool contractors with any concerns.

  • Do I need to remove any trees before construction begins?

Our excavation equipment is capable of removing trees and brush from the area where you want to install your pool. Contact our swimming pool contractors today for more information about your ideal backyard layout.
